Nine Mountain Retreats provides full-service hosting and on-site catering for workshops, group retreats, reunions, family gatherings and celebrations of all kinds year-round.

We take great care of our home – the retreat center, the grounds, our guests, and this earth – by honoring each person who crosses our threshold, by carefully sourcing our food, through judicial use of resources, and in mindful stewardship of the land. We look forward to sharing this special place with you.

Our facility is used in many different ways for groups with varying needs and goals. The rooms throughout the house can be furnished as best suits your group. Our talented chefs personally design each group’s menu. On-site massage, yoga, movement, meditation and cooking classes can be arranged upon request. Meeting Spaces

IMG_7681The Great Room on our first floor is an open, light-filled meeting and work space. We can supply cozy couches for lounging, tables and chairs, flipcharts and projectors for meetings, yoga mats and cushions for yoga classes, back-jacks for meditation or leave the room wide open for activity. Just let us know! This spaces fits about 6 massage tables, 8 Thai massage mats, 10-12 breathwork mats, 15-20 yoga mats, 25-30 back-jacks and 40 folding chairs. The adjacent dining room is conducive for more intimate conversation or meditation practice.

Accommodations

Our three dorm-style guest rooms contain sturdy wooden bunk beds and come furnished with all- cotton sheets, pillows, and season-appropriate bedding, as do the three private guest rooms, each with a double or queen-sized bed. Each dorm room has 5 or 6 single beds. Each private room has a queen-sized bed.

Shared washrooms on every floor are stocked with towels, natural cleansing products and recyclable toweling. Our outdoor hot tub fits 6-8 for a soak under the stars.

Delicious Food Service

_MG_2400We serve delicious, seasonal and locally-sourced food, buffet/family style. We strive to source all of our food from local and/or organic sources. Our chefs’ areas of culinary expertise range from Moroccan to Indian, raw to macrobiotic, and we work with each group to design a custom menu to your liking. We’d be happy to fully cater your event, cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner each day, or provide individual meals as needed, or let you or your group take over the kitchen. Let’s discuss your group’s specific needs.

Other Amenities

_MG_2144We have wifi throughout the house. Note that when it comes to cellphone reception, guests with Verizon and ATT report normal coverage, and guests with T-Mobile have trouble or no reception at all.

For audiovisual, our living room sound system has easy laptop/iphone hook ups, and is connected to a CD player, corded microphone and wireless headset. We have a projector for sharing movies.

You are welcome to play with our assortment of board games and puzzles, kids toys, bats, balls, frisbees, toy swords, musical instruments, and enjoy our extensive library. We have at least one of everything – please ask!

Finally, through our partnership with Earthdance, Nine Mountain guests can use the Earthdance outdoor wood-fired sauna and stunning dance studios, when available. Extra costs apply. The local swimming/paddling spot, Plainfield Pond, is 10 minutes away.
