Thai Massage Winter Intensive
December 16 – 18, 2016
Come learn Thai Massage with fun, beautiful people in a gorgeous natural environment. Squishy, intelligent bodies await you. Whether you are new or old to this form, this workshop will leave you inspired, curious, rested, revitalized and all-around nourished. This will be our last purely practice-focused intensive, as 2017 brings a full-on Thai Massage Certification Program!
Practiced on the floor, this form enables the therapist the use of elbows, knees, forearms and feet in a comfortable and efficient way that utilizes the body dynamic and ones own weight to distribute the force required for the application of the relevant techniques. The recipient lies relaxed and loosely clothed while the practitioner guides them through a series of yogic asanas and applies balancing touch to the body’s major energy lines and points. Thai Massage is an art whose ultimate objective is a perfected self-awareness through the joy of a mutually beneficial healing dance.
Open to new and continuing students, Ariela will offer instruction appropriate to the students needs and levels of experience.
To Register, purchase a “Phase 1 – Introduction to Thai Massage” ticket on Ariela’s website. Early Bird Registration is $300 if paid before December 1st. Regular Registration is $350 after December 1st.

Vital Signs: Nine Mountain’s Creative Community Residency
February 5-19, 2017
In the heart of New England winters, when the landscape is coated in snow and ice, what do we see, feel, hear and taste that signals the presence of vitality? That just under the surface of the frozen lakes, a buzzing metropolis of tadpoles and fish lies in wait? That bears and bats are hibernating in the forests, dreaming of spring? That a deer, or rabbit, just ran there? What human actions express this aliveness?
Nine Mountain Retreats is proud to announce Vital Signs, its first community residency for creative inquiry and practice. For two weeks in winter, we invite a group of creative residents into our 20-person home to live and work together on their vital personal projects, group projects, explore creative collaboration and engage in edgy inquiry. The Vital Signs Residency is an opportunity to revitalize your mind, body, relationships and practices; to cultivate and share your vital offerings with an immediate and global community; to focus and expand who you are, how you do, and what you love. Join us to:
- engage in what it means to be vibrantly alive
- explore and create amidst inspiring individuals with a diversity of experience and wisdom
- springboard new creative initiatives or projects into the world, absorb professional sustenance
